Heavy overcast holding through the day, with mild air moving in from the S and no real change in pressure. Expect most activity at Lac Norton around the calm side of the wind. Everything points to the night. Push the good hours hard and rest through the dead ones. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

Lac Norton is set in Laurentides, Quebec. Rolling bush runs right down to the water. At roughly 5 hectares, the whole thing is within casting reach of a single walk. Some 2.7 km away sits La Conception, the nearest settlement. It is 85 km to Saint-Louis-de-Terrebonne, the nearest city. Not far off: Lac Long (0.8 km), 1.1 km away is Lac Olivier, Lac d'Argent (1.7 km), 1.9 km away is Lac McConge and Lac Vinet (2.2 km). It sits well inside the county, so one set of rules covers it.
Nothing we hold settles how deep this runs. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. County-wide records name pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and brook trout. The county list is broader than any single water. On Lac Norton the obvious spot is not always the productive one.
Averages move between -14°C in January and 18°C in July. Spring and autumn carry the fishing; summer and winter test it. Look for the thaw near late April; the fishing lifts straight after. Ice clears near late April and comes back about late November in a typical year. Fish feed hardest at the start and the close of the open season. Anyone fishing Lac Norton regularly works to that calendar.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. Recorded parking is 1.5 km off, far enough to travel light. You can camp about 930 m away, going by the mapping. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Where access is informal, keep it that way by behaving. Keep proof of licence with you rather than in the car. Failing this one, try Lac Long, 0.8 km away. None of that is settled for Lac Norton in what we hold.
