An even grey lid over the water, with light air out of the S and steady pressure. Lac Moz should fish best around inflow corners and shaded margins today. Set the alarm around the night. Work the productive water thoroughly. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

This water sits in Mauricie, Quebec. The surroundings are rolling bush. At roughly 4 hectares, the whole thing is within casting reach of a single walk. It is a small entry by Mauricie standards. La Tuque is the closest town at 35 km. Laurentides follows at 72 km, then Sainte-Thècle at 76 km. If this one is busy: 1.1 km out stands Lac Croisette, Lac Almoz out at 1.2 km, 1.7 km out stands Lac Kemo, Lac Tehkummah out at 1.8 km and 2.2 km out stands Lac Kasko. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
Depth is unmeasured here, so let the shoreline guide you. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Species logged across Mauricie include northern pike, brook trout, walleye, yellow perch and white sucker. The county list is broader than any single water. Read Lac Moz before you fish it and the day goes better.
Typical July readings run about 17°C; by January the average is down near -16°C. Four clear seasons, with a proper winter at one end. Look for the thaw near late April; the fishing lifts straight after. Climate figures give an open season running late April to mid November. Just after the ice goes and just before it returns, the fishing lifts. Expect Lac Moz to follow that timing.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. No launch point is recorded nearby, so this is a bank water unless you carry a boat in. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Look for a notice board at the entrance. Check whether bait restrictions apply before you buy any. Lac Croisette at 1.1 km is the sensible second choice. Signs at Lac Moz carry more weight than any list.
