Clear air and long views across the water tonight, with an easy breeze from the WNW with a settled glass. The water to cover at Lac Lyndon is points where shallow meets deep. A grinding day likely, with the morning worth the effort if any is. Quiet tactics only; the fish will not chase today.

Set in Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec, this is Lac Lyndon. The country round it is boreal forest from end to end. It runs to roughly 12 hectares — big enough to hold fish away from the bank, small enough to learn. The bank runs about 1.6 km all the way round, so one visit can cover most of it. By elevation it is in the upper part of our Quebec listings. The town to know is Leblanc, 66 km out. Weymontachie lies 70 km off, Saint-Félicien another 81 km. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
No figure exists for depth, so let the water show you. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Records held for Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean cover northern pike, Atlantic salmon, lake whitefish and fallfish. Some of the species recorded here are protected or tightly regulated, so check what may be targeted before you fish. Read Lac Lyndon before you fish it and the day goes better.
The seasonal spread runs -18°C to 16°C. The fishing year opens late and shuts early. The lid arrives early and lasts until roughly early May. On average, early May opens the water and mid November closes it again. Fish feed hardest at the start and the close of the open season. At Lac Lyndon the season follows that pattern closely.
No public source sets out the position on this bank. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. Formal access is not mapped, so the last stretch is likely on foot. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Season dates differ by species, so read the table. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. Lac Dumas sits 1.1 km off and takes the overflow. Check the current arrangement for Lac Lyndon.
