Rain on and off through the day, with mild air moving in from the W and no real change in pressure. The productive water at Lac Louise will be around points where shallow meets deep. Make the evening the heart of the trip. Fish tidy and take what the day gives. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

The Estrie end of Quebec holds Lac Louise. The setting is mixed forest on every side. Roughly 4.36 sq km of surface: treat each bay as a water in its own right. The shoreline runs about 15 km, so it pays to pick a stretch and stay with it. Few waters listed in Estrie are bigger. For supplies, Weedon Centre is 4 km out. Disraeli lies 20 km off, Saint-Joseph-de-Coleraine another 27 km. No border sits close enough to matter.
Depth is not on record here, so the bank has to tell you. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Across Estrie, recorded fish include rainbow trout, white sucker and pumpkinseed. It is the county picture; the agency list is water-specific. Fish Lac Louise where the bottom changes rather than where it looks deep.
The warmest month averages 18°C, the coldest about -12°C. A solid cap is the normal state through winter. Hard water holds through the cold months, breaking up near late April. Open water usually runs from late April until about early December. Just after the ice goes and just before it returns, the fishing lifts. Keep it in mind when planning a trip to Lac Louise.
We hold no note on access for this one. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. Public mapping records no formal access here, so plan for a walk and soft ground. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Sort the permit out before you load the car. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. Failing this one, try Lac Vaseux, 5.4 km away. Check the position on Lac Louise before loading the car.
