Heavy overcast holding through the day, with a kind SSW breeze on the water with the barometer flat. Fish at Lac Louise should hold close to the shaded margin through bright spells. Save your energy for the morning. Stay mobile and follow the activity. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Within Laurentides, Quebec, you have Lac Louise. The ground round it is rolling bush. Surface area is around 15 hectares, which gives you real water without needing a boat. Roughly 2.4 km of bank means you can walk to a fresh area when one goes quiet. Head to Saint-Adolphe-d'Howard, 2.6 km away, for anything you forgot. It is 51 km to Saint-Louis-de-Terrebonne, the nearest city. The county line is nowhere near, so one local authority covers the water.
Our records carry no depth, so judge it from the bank. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Records held for Laurentides cover pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass and yellow perch. Records at county level tell you what is around, not what is stocked here. Read Lac Louise for ten minutes before the first cast goes out.
July runs about 18°C on average, January about -14°C. Cold winters and warm summers give a wide working range. Ice-out usually falls in late April, and the weeks after it fish hardest. From about late April to around late November, expect open water on the long-run figures. June through September is the settled part of the year, with the shoulders busier for fish. On Lac Louise the same rules apply, with local timing.
Access is not recorded for this water. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. Nothing is mapped in the way of a ramp or car park within a short radius. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Where access is informal, keep it that way by behaving. Rules for boats are stricter than rules for the bank in many places. If the gate is shut, Lac Vert at 1.1 km is the nearest alternative. Check the position on Lac Louise before loading the car.
