Heavy overcast holding through the day, with the surface near flat and pressure going nowhere. The productive water at Lac Logron will be around bays that hold the day's warmth. The strongest window is the night. Take the steady approach over the searching one. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

In Quebec, Lac Logron falls inside Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean. Northern bush runs right down to the water. This is a pocket water of some 4 hectares, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. Our Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean list holds plenty of bigger water. The closest town, Normandin, is 87 km distant. Beyond it, Albanel at 92 km and Leblanc at 100 km. The county line is nowhere near, so one local authority covers the water.
Nothing we hold settles how deep this runs. Weed, then depth: that is the order to fish a water of this kind. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Reported across Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean: northern pike, Atlantic salmon, lake whitefish and fallfish. Several of these carry legal protection or closed seasons; the rulebook comes before the rod. Anyone new to Lac Logron should walk it once before setting up.
Long-run averages give July about 16°C and January about -18°C. Long winters and short summers set the pattern. Ice-out usually falls in early May, and the weeks after it fish hardest. Ice clears near early May and comes back about mid November in a typical year. The strong weeks are the first after break-up and the last before the freeze. On Lac Logron the same rules apply, with local timing.
Public sources are silent on who controls the bank. Nothing in the way of made access shows up nearby: no ramp, no car park, no path. A wire trace and a big bright lure handle the pike; deep water asks for a heavier spoon. Look for a notice board at the entrance. Where tickets apply, they are sold in the nearest town rather than on the bank. Lac Carsac at 0.3 km is the sensible second choice. Where Lac Logron is concerned, a local answer beats a written one.
