An even grey lid over the water, with a light chop building from the S with the glass holding level. Expect most activity at Lac Lis around shallow cover and weed edges. Little to get excited about, though the evening holds a sliver of promise. One good spot fished well beats five fished quickly.

Set in Côte-Nord, Lac Lis is a Quebec water. It stands 446 metres above sea level. This is a pocket water of some 5 hectares, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. On size it sits at the modest end of our Côte-Nord list. For a base, Saint-Honoré sits 121 km out. Saguenay is the closest city, 132 km away. Close by you also have: Lac Foc roughly 0.6 km, Lac Bis 1.2 km, Lac Talo roughly 1.3 km, Lac Tina 1.3 km and Lac Toupie roughly 1.6 km. It lies deep inside the county rather than near an edge.
No figure exists for depth, so let the water show you. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Species logged across Côte-Nord include logperch. These are county-wide records, so not all of them will be in this water. Anyone new to Lac Lis should walk it once before setting up.
Average temperature peaks around 16°C in July and bottoms out near -19°C in January. The season is measured in weeks rather than months. The open season starts with the thaw, near enough mid May. The lid tends to go about mid May and return around mid November. From the thaw to midsummer the fishing improves week by week. Expect Lac Lis to follow that timing.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. Nothing is mapped in the way of a ramp or car park within a short radius. For the perch, a small jig tipped with worm, dropped along the edges, is hard to beat. Ask in the nearest town if you are unsure. Access can change hands, so last year's answer may not hold. If the gate is shut, Lac Foc at 0.6 km is the nearest alternative. Check the current arrangement for Lac Lis.
