A grey, even sky over the water, with light air out of the S and no real change in pressure. Most of the action on Lac Lemay should come off the seam between weed and open water. A stay-home graph, with the night as the one excuse to go. Save the long walk for a better forecast. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

Night
Lac Lemay is one of the Côte-Nord waters in Quebec. The water sits 233 metres up. At 4 hectares it is the sort of place you fish for an evening rather than a day. It is one of the smaller waters we list in Côte-Nord. You are 32 km from Betsiamites. Further out sit Forestville (32 km) and Chute-aux-Outardes (50 km). More in the same country: Lac Therese at 1.6 km, Lac Donat about 1.6 km, Lac Celine at 1.8 km, Lac Sylvio about 2 km and Lac Gilles at 2.5 km. This one is safely inside the county line.
We hold no survey for this water; read the slope of the shoreline instead. Weed, then depth: that is the order to fish a water of this kind. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. County-wide records name logperch. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. On Lac Lemay the quiet end is the one worth the extra effort.
The year swings from about -16°C in January to roughly 17°C in July. Long winters and short summers set the pattern. Ice is part of the season here, ending near early May. From about early May to around mid November, expect open water on the long-run figures. The middle of summer slows a little, with dawn and dusk carrying it. That is the shape of the year on Lac Lemay.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. Mapping shows no built access close by; expect to walk in from wherever you can leave the car. For the perch, a small jig tipped with worm, dropped along the edges, is hard to beat. Rules differ from one water to the next round here. Where parking is tight, arriving early solves most problems. If the gate is shut, Lac Therese at 1.6 km is the nearest alternative. Treat Lac Lemay as unsettled until someone local tells you otherwise.
