Heavy overcast holding through the day, with hardly a ripple anywhere and no real change in pressure. The fish at Lac Leclerc are likely to sit near structure within a cast of the bank. Save your energy for the night. Work the productive water thoroughly. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

Lac Leclerc is one of the Mauricie waters in Quebec. The surroundings are spruce and muskeg. It measures about 78 hectares, which is a comfortable size for bank fishing. There is roughly 7.3 km of bank, more than one visit can cover properly. It ranks high for size among our Mauricie listings. For supplies, Leblanc is 54 km out. Weymontachie follows at 54 km, then Saint-Félicien at 93 km. No county line comes close, which keeps the paperwork simple.
Nothing in our records gives a depth for this one. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Records held for Mauricie cover northern pike, brook trout and walleye. County records show the wider picture rather than this one place. Read Lac Leclerc for ten minutes before the first cast goes out.
July runs about 16°C on average, January about -18°C. The year here is short and sharp: a long lid, then a burst of open water. Expect a solid lid for months and a thaw around early May. Ice usually gives way near early May, and forms again about mid November. The strongest runs come at either end of the open season. Plan around that when you fish Lac Leclerc.
Whether you may fish here is not something records settle. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. The map shows no ramp or car park nearby, so this is a walk-in water. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Where access is informal, keep it that way by behaving. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. Lac Fontaine at 1.6 km is the sensible second choice. Check the current arrangement for Lac Leclerc.
