A grey, even sky over the water, with a useful SSW wind pushing food about with the glass holding level. Expect most activity at Lac Lacelle around any hard bottom among the soft. Set the alarm around the night. Work the productive water thoroughly. Fish follow the bait in autumn, so find one to find the other.

Laurentides, Quebec, is where Lac Lacelle sits. It stands 390 metres above sea level. The water covers some 37 hectares, so pick a bank rather than trying to cover it all. Roughly 3.5 km of bank means you can walk to a fresh area when one goes quiet. It ranks high for size among our Laurentides listings. Ferme-Neuve at 63 km is the nearest place to stop. Gatineau is the closest city, 196 km away. The county line is nowhere near, so one local authority covers the water.
Nothing we hold settles how deep this runs. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. County-wide records name pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass and yellow perch. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. Treat Lac Lacelle as a water to read rather than to cover.
Long-term averages put July at about 17°C and January near -16°C. Everything is compressed into the middle of the year. Winter fishing happens on the ice here, with open water back around early May. The season between ice runs from about early May to mid November. The first weeks of open water and the last are the ones to plan for. Lac Lacelle fishes to that pattern most years.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. No dam controls it, and the level follows the season. No made access appears within a short radius, so plan to park on a verge and walk. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Gates get locked out of season on water like this. Keep proof of licence with you rather than in the car. Lac McTiernan sits 1.6 km off and takes the overflow. Nothing on Lac Lacelle should be assumed from this page alone.
