Thin cloud passing over the water tonight, with a whisper of wind from the SSW with the glass holding level. The productive water at Lac Kylie will be around inflow corners and shaded margins. Numbers are low everywhere; the morning is the pick of them. Go lighter and slower than usual.

Night
Lac Kylie is an Abitibi-Témiscamingue water, in Quebec. It stands 371 metres above sea level. Roughly 28 hectares: a morning covers one end, an afternoon the other. The edge runs 2.1 km or so, easy to work in an afternoon. Senneterre is the closest town at 83 km. For a city, Gatineau is 271 km off. The county line is nowhere near, so one local authority covers the water.
Depth went unrecorded, which puts the reading back on you. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Weed, then depth: that is the order to fish a water of this kind. Species logged across Abitibi-Témiscamingue include northern pike, yellow perch, walleye, white sucker and brown bullhead. Species recorded across the county may be limited to a few waters. Lac Kylie responds to conditions more than to tactics.
On the long-term average, July reads 17°C and January reads -18°C. Everything is compressed into the middle of the year. Ice-out usually falls in early May, and the weeks after it fish hardest. Averages place the thaw at early May and the freeze at mid November. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. On Lac Kylie the same rules apply, with local timing.
The paperwork position is blank for this one. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. Nothing built is recorded close to the bank here. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Read any posted signs at the access point rather than assuming. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Lac Keddie, 1.9 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Ask locally about Lac Kylie if anything is unclear.
