No direct sun expected today, with an easy breeze from the SSW with the barometer flat. Activity on Lac Keddie should centre on structure within a cast of the bank. Quiet conditions all day, with the morning marginally better. Quiet tactics only; the fish will not chase today. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

The Abitibi-Témiscamingue entry here is Lac Keddie, in Quebec. Land around it is taiga. The water covers some 30 hectares, so pick a bank rather than trying to cover it all. The whole outline is near 4.0 km, and most of it is walkable. Some 85 km away sits Senneterre, the nearest settlement. Val-d'Or is 105 km and Barraute 110 km. The nearest boundary is well away, so one set of rules covers the water.
Depth is unmeasured here, so let the shoreline guide you. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Survey and observation records for Abitibi-Témiscamingue include northern pike, yellow perch and walleye. It is the county picture; the agency list is water-specific. Lac Keddie gives up its fish to patience rather than distance.
Long-term averages put July at about 17°C and January near -18°C. Cold dominates the calendar on water this far north. The lid arrives early and lasts until roughly early May. Expect the water usable from around early May until roughly mid November. September and October fish steadily right up to the freeze. Expect Lac Keddie to follow that timing.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. Access is unmapped, which usually means a farm track and a walk. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Rules for this water may differ from the county norm. A polite question at the farm gate opens more banks than anything else. Lac Kylie at 1.9 km is the sensible second choice. What applies at Lac Keddie may have changed since it was mapped.
