No direct sun expected today, with flat calm through the day and steady pressure. Lac Igname should fish best around the seam between weed and open water today. Little to get excited about, though the middle of the day holds a sliver of promise. Downsize everything and pick the calmest water.

Lac Igname sits in Outaouais, out in Quebec. The country round it is pine and birch from end to end. It covers about 10 hectares, so this is small water you can walk round in under an hour. The town to know is Saint-Boniface, 85 km out. Gatineau sits 190 km out, and it is the nearest city worth the name. The nearest edge is a long way off, so local rules apply throughout.
Depth here is unknown, so count the lead down before committing. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Species logged across Outaouais include pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass and rainbow smelt. Species recorded across the county may be limited to a few waters. At Lac Igname the first feature you find is worth twenty minutes.
The seasonal spread runs -17°C to 17°C. Four clear seasons, with a proper winter at one end. The freeze runs deep into the year, with break-up near early May. From about early May to around late November, expect open water on the long-run figures. Just after the ice goes and just before it returns, the fishing lifts. The season on Lac Igname rarely departs from it.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. There is camping recorded roughly 410 m off. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Parking is often the real limit rather than the bank itself. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. If the gate is shut, Lac Macassar at 1.4 km is the nearest alternative. Confirm access to Lac Igname locally before you travel.
