Dull, settled light over the water, with a light SSW breeze and no real change in pressure. Start the search at Lac Grew along the margins and the shelf beyond them. Quiet conditions all day, with the night marginally better. Save the long walk for a better forecast. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Lac Grew is one of the Outaouais waters in Quebec. The surroundings are pine and birch. Around 14 hectares of surface means several distinct areas to work. The edge runs 1.9 km or so, easy to work in an afternoon. Saint-Boniface sits 56 km from the bank. Then Maniwaki, 68 km, and Ferme-Neuve, 75 km. In the same area: 1 km out stands Lac de la Tangence, Lac Joel at 1.5 km, 2 km out stands Lac de la Caille, Petit lac Bark at 2.1 km and 2.2 km out stands Lac Ralph. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
The records we hold are silent on depth, so plan to find it yourself. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Species logged across Outaouais include pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass and rainbow smelt. Records at county level tell you what is around, not what is stocked here. Lac Grew gives up more to patience than to distance.
On the long-term average, July reads 17°C and January reads -17°C. Spring and autumn carry the fishing; summer and winter test it. The lid usually sets by midwinter and gives way around early May. Ice usually gives way near early May, and forms again about late November. The middle of summer slows a little, with dawn and dusk carrying it. It sets the rhythm of the year at Lac Grew.
Nothing in our records says who may fish here. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. No built facilities appear in mapping around this water. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Read any posted signs at the access point rather than assuming. Keep proof of licence with you rather than in the car. Lac de la Tangence at 1 km is the sensible second choice. Signs at Lac Grew carry more weight than any list.
