Heavy overcast holding through the day, with a gentle ripple from the SSW and pressure going nowhere. Activity on Lac Gravel should centre on windblown banks where food collects. A hard day on paper; the evening edges the rest. Lower the pace and stay patient. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Lac Gravel belongs to Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec. Height above sea level is 676 metres. Roughly 15 hectares: a morning covers one end, an afternoon the other. Around 2.7 km of margin, front to back. By elevation it is in the upper part of our Quebec listings. You are 51 km from Saint-Honoré. Beyond it, Saint-Fulgence at 54 km and Saint-Ambroise at 61 km. One jurisdiction covers this water end to end.
Depth is not on record here, so the bank has to tell you. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Fish documented in Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean include northern pike, Atlantic salmon, lake whitefish and fallfish. At least one recorded species is protected in parts of its range; read the local rules before targeting anything. Treat Lac Gravel as a water to read rather than to cover.
Climate normals give 15°C for July and -19°C for January. Open water is the exception rather than the rule here. After mid May the shallows warm and the fish move up. Climate figures give an open season running mid May to early November. The open run goes from the thaw to the freeze, and April through October covers most of it. Plan around that when you fish Lac Gravel.
Our records carry no access rule either way. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. A slipway 580 m out gives trailer access. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Local rules can differ across the county line, so check where you stand. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. Failing this one, try Lac du Sourire, 0.9 km away. Confirm before you fish Lac Gravel.
