Solid cloud cover today, with a stiffish breeze from the NNW and the barometer holding steady. Start the search at Lac Fleche along the margins and the shelf beyond them. Everything points to the morning. Small adjustments will matter more than big moves. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

Lac Fleche is a Côte-Nord water, Quebec side. Elevation runs to 145 metres. It measures some 7.59 sq km, and wind has room to build across it. The bank runs about 33 km in total, split between open shore and sheltered corners. It ranks high for size among our Côte-Nord listings. Baie-Comeau at 91 km is the nearest place to stop. Saguenay sits 276 km out, and it is the nearest city worth the name. One jurisdiction covers this water end to end.
Depth remains unrecorded, so treat the first session as a survey. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Reported across Côte-Nord: logperch. Take it as the county picture rather than a promise for this water. The near bank of Lac Fleche is often the one people ignore.
Temperature averages peak at 15°C in July and bottom out at -18°C in January. The fishing year opens late and shuts early. Expect a solid lid for months and a thaw around early May. In an average year the thaw lands around early May and the freeze near mid November. The strongest runs come at either end of the open season. The season on Lac Fleche rarely departs from it.
No access rule appears in what we hold. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. The map shows no ramp or car park nearby, so this is a walk-in water. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Where a permit is needed, the nearest town usually sells it. Some ground is open by custom rather than by right, so tread carefully. Should this one be busy, Lac Real is 6.3 km off. Nothing here settles the position at Lac Fleche for certain.
