Overcast skies today, with a consistent blow out of the SSW with the glass holding level. The fish at Lac Fissiau are likely to sit near the calm side of the wind. One clear peak today: the night. Work fewer spots, but work them properly. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

Quebec holds Lac Fissiau, in Lanaudière. The water sits 579 metres up. This is a pocket water of some 8 hectares, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. It is high ground by Quebec standards. Head to Saint-Michel-des-Saints, 34 km away, for anything you forgot. Manawan is 46 km away, with Saint-Donat-de-Montcalm at 55 km. This one is safely inside the county line.
We hold no survey for this water; read the slope of the shoreline instead. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. County-wide records name pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and rock bass. Read it as a county summary, not a water-by-water list. The shape of Lac Fissiau decides where the fish sit.
Typical July readings run about 17°C; by January the average is down near -15°C. The season is measured in weeks rather than months. Look for the thaw near early May; the fishing lifts straight after. Expect the water usable from around early May until roughly mid November. Reckon on open water from spring through to late autumn, with May and June the strongest. On Lac Fissiau that shapes the whole year.
Nothing we hold confirms whether access is permitted. No made access appears within a short radius, so plan to park on a verge and walk. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Parking is often the real limit rather than the bank itself. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. Lac Adanys sits 0.6 km off and takes the overflow. Treat Lac Fissiau as unsettled until someone local tells you otherwise.
