Solid cloud cover today, with almost no wind to speak of and the barometer holding steady. The productive water at Lac Edmond will be around the margins and the shelf beyond them. The strongest window runs from night into morning. Keep expectations modest and fish carefully. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Mauricie, Quebec, is where Lac Edmond sits. Everything around it is lake country bush. Surface area is around 68 hectares, which gives you real water without needing a boat. On our Mauricie list it sits near the top for size. For supplies, La Tuque is 29 km out. After that come Laurentides at 35 km and Sainte-Thècle at 69 km. No boundary runs near, so the local rules hold throughout.
Depth is not on record here, so the bank has to tell you. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. Fish documented in Mauricie include northern pike, brook trout, walleye, yellow perch and white sucker. The county list is broader than any single water. At Lac Edmond the first feature you find is worth twenty minutes.
Typical July readings run about 17°C; by January the average is down near -16°C. Winter closes the water for a while, and the reopening is worth catching. Expect a solid lid for months and a thaw around early May. Ice usually gives way near early May, and forms again about mid November. Just after the ice goes and just before it returns, the fishing lifts. Plan any trip to Lac Edmond around it.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. There is no recorded infrastructure here; expect to find your own way in. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Some banks are open only from a marked point. Where the way in crosses private ground, ask first. Should this one be busy, Lac Orol is 1.1 km off. None of that is settled for Lac Edmond in what we hold.
