Heavy overcast holding through the day, with stillness over the whole water and pressure sitting still. Most of the action on Lac Ecran should come off structure within a cast of the bank. A grinding day likely, with the morning worth the effort if any is. Quiet tactics only; the fish will not chase today.

You will find Lac Ecran in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Quebec. Elevation runs to 390 metres. The nearest town is Val-d'Or, 63 km away. Senneterre is 79 km and Malartic 85 km. Others close at hand: 0.6 km out stands Lac Nichet, Lac Lemure (1.1 km), 1.5 km out stands Lac Onglet, Lac de la Ratiere (1.7 km) and 1.7 km out stands Lac Rhodon. The nearest boundary is well away, so one set of rules covers the water.
Without a survey to go on, judge depth from how the bank falls away. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Reported across Abitibi-Témiscamingue: northern pike, yellow perch and walleye. The county figures include rivers and lakes alike. Lac Ecran fishes better once you know its edges.
Temperature averages peak at 17°C in July and bottom out at -16°C in January. A short, intense season is the rule this far north. Ice fishing carries the winter, and the water opens about early May. Going by climate averages, expect open water from about early May until roughly mid November. Right after break-up, and again as the nights sharpen, is when to go. Expect Lac Ecran to follow that timing.
The rules here are undocumented as far as public sources go. No launch point is recorded nearby, so this is a bank water unless you carry a boat in. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. A phone call first saves an afternoon. Signs go up and come down, so check on the day. For a change of water, Lac Nichet is 0.6 km distant. None of that is settled for Lac Ecran in what we hold.
