Solid cloud cover today, with next to no ripple with the barometer flat. The water to cover at Lac Drott is the calm side of the wind. Quiet conditions all day, with the night marginally better. Save the long walk for a better forecast. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

Lac Drott is a Côte-Nord water, in Quebec. The water sits 576 metres up. Roughly 36 hectares: a morning covers one end, an afternoon the other. The bank runs about 2.8 km all the way round, so one visit can cover most of it. By elevation it is in the upper part of our Quebec listings. The nearest town is Port-Cartier, 103 km away. Saint-Alexandre is 104 km away, with Godefroy at 107 km. It sits well inside its county, with no border complications.
No depth figure has reached our records, which makes a plummet useful. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Species logged across Côte-Nord include logperch. The county figures include rivers and lakes alike. Lac Drott fishes better once you know its edges.
Long-run averages give July about 14°C and January about -20°C. Water stays cold even at the height of the year. Expect a solid lid for months and a thaw around mid May. Break-up near mid May, freeze-up near early November: that is the shape of an average year. Just after the ice goes and just before it returns, the fishing lifts. At Lac Drott the season follows that pattern closely.
No access rule appears in what we hold. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. Nothing formal is recorded here: no ramp, no car park, no marked path. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Rules for this water may differ from the county norm. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. Lac Ti-Poil at 1.7 km is the sensible second choice. Where Lac Drott is concerned, a local answer beats a written one.
