Passing showers with dry spells between, with a soft SSW wind and no real change in pressure. Give bays that hold the day's warmth the first hour at Lac des Iroquois. The numbers single out the morning. Fish confidently and change only when the bites stop. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

Lac des Iroquois is one of the Lanaudière waters in Quebec. It sits at 540 metres above sea level. The water measures roughly 6 hectares, so nothing here is far from anything else. It sits higher than most water we list in Quebec. Start from Sainte-Marguerite-du-Lac-Masson, 15 km down the road. After that come Chertsey at 17 km and Val-David at 19 km. Being near a boundary, it pays to know which side you are fishing.
We hold no depth figure for this one. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Across Lanaudière, recorded fish include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass and yellow perch. The county list is broader than any single water. At Lac des Iroquois light and wind decide more than tackle does.
Averages here run 18°C at the top of summer and -14°C at the bottom of winter. Winter shuts the surface down for months. The freeze runs deep into the year, with break-up near late April. The season between ice runs from about late April to late November. Fish feed hardest at the start and the close of the open season. The season on Lac des Iroquois rarely departs from it.
Whether you may fish here is not something records settle. No made access appears within a short radius, so plan to park on a verge and walk. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Take the rules with you rather than trusting memory. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. Lac Sicotte sits 1.6 km off and takes the overflow. Treat access at Lac des Iroquois as something to verify.
