Lac de l'Etudiant, Quebec: Fishing Spots and Seasons

• Overview

  You will find Lac de l'Etudiant in Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec. This is northern bush country. It runs to roughly 70 hectares — big enough to hold fish away from the bank, small enough to learn. The bank runs about 4.9 km all the way round, so one visit can cover most of it. • Where to Fish on Lac de l'Etudiant

  We hold no survey for this water; read the slope of the shoreline instead. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. County-wide records name northern pike, Atlantic salmon and lake whitefish.
