A closed sky with even light today, with light air out of the S with the glass holding level. The water to cover at Lac de la Sieste is inflow corners and shaded margins. One clear peak today: the night. Work fewer spots, but work them properly. Autumn rewards covering water while the fish roam.

In Quebec, Lac de la Sieste belongs to Outaouais. The surface lies 268 metres up. Small at around 2 hectares: two anglers spread out cover most of it. It is one of the smaller waters we list in Outaouais. For supplies, Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel is 14 km out. La Minerve is 27 km and Ripon 36 km. Near neighbours: Lac Pazy out at 0.4 km, Lac Vix at about 0.4 km, Lac Omet out at 0.5 km, Lac Sor at about 1.1 km and Petit lac du Corbeau out at 1.3 km. It lies deep inside the county rather than near an edge.
Without a survey to go on, judge depth from how the bank falls away. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Across Outaouais, recorded fish include pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass and rainbow smelt. Species recorded across the county may be limited to a few waters. Lac de la Sieste fishes better once you know its edges.
Typical July readings run about 18°C; by January the average is down near -14°C. Seasons are distinct, and each one fishes differently. After late April the shallows warm and the fish move up. On average, late April opens the water and late November closes it again. Fishing peaks soon after break-up and again before the cold returns. It sets the rhythm of the year at Lac de la Sieste.
We hold no note on access for this one. Access is unmapped, which usually means a farm track and a walk. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Some banks are open only from a marked point. Barbless rules turn up on managed water more often than not. Lac Pazy sits 0.4 km off and takes the overflow. None of that is settled for Lac de la Sieste in what we hold.
