• Overview

  Lac de la Brume is one of the Mauricie waters in Quebec. The country round it is rolling bush from end to end. This is a pocket water of some 3 hectares, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. On size it sits at the modest end of our Mauricie list. Laurentides is the closest place, 32 km off. Beyond it, La Tuque at 51 km and Saint-Raymond at 60 km. The county line is nowhere near, so one local authority covers the water.

• Where to Fish on Lac de la Brume

  No chart reached our records; the first cast is your sounding. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Records held for Mauricie cover northern pike, brook trout, walleye and yellow perch.
