Lac de l'Aigle belongs to Laurentides, Quebec. It stands 208 metres above sea level. Surface area is around 99 hectares, which gives you real water without needing a boat. Shoreline length is close to 8.5 km, and each section fishes a little differently. Size puts it in the front rank of our Laurentides list. For supplies, Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel is 31 km out. After that come La Minerve at 44 km and Saint-Raphaël at 45 km. It sits well inside its county, with no border complications.
Depth went unrecorded, which puts the reading back on you. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. County-wide records name pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, brook trout and rock bass. County data is a starting point rather than a guarantee. The near bank of Lac de l'Aigle is often the one people ignore.
Seasonal averages run from -14°C in January up to 18°C in July. A hard winter is normal, and the thaw brings a strong few weeks. The open season starts with the thaw, near enough late April. Averages place the thaw at late April and the freeze at late November. From the thaw to midsummer the fishing improves week by week. It sets the rhythm of the year at Lac de l'Aigle.
Our records carry no access rule either way. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. No slipway, car park or made path shows up nearby in mapping, so treat access as rough. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Check whether a boat is allowed before you tow one. Where the way in crosses private ground, ask first. Failing this one, try Lac des Loups, 1.2 km away. Nothing on Lac de l'Aigle should be assumed from this page alone.
