An even grey lid over the water, with a kind W breeze on the water and pressure sitting still. On Lac Dalesme, work shallow cover and weed edges first. The forecast is against you; the morning is the least bad option. Treat it as a scouting trip with a rod in hand. Fish follow the bait in autumn, so find one to find the other.

Lac Dalesme falls in Côte-Nord, part of Quebec. Elevation runs to 467 metres. Small at around 2 hectares: two anglers spread out cover most of it. It is one of the smaller waters we list in Côte-Nord. Nearest place of any size is Sept-Îles, 63 km away. After that come Port-Cartier at 70 km and Saint-Alexandre at 70 km. One jurisdiction covers this water end to end.
Depth went unrecorded, which puts the reading back on you. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Across Côte-Nord, recorded fish include logperch. County records show the wider picture rather than this one place. Work Lac Dalesme in sections rather than trying to cover it.
Climate records put July near 14°C and January near -18°C. The freeze holds for the better part of the year. Hard cover is dependable here; it goes around mid May. The season between ice runs from about mid May to early November. Early summer and early autumn carry the open-water season. Lac Dalesme runs to its own calendar within the local pattern.
Public data does not answer the access question here. Public mapping records no formal access here, so plan for a walk and soft ground. For the perch, a small jig tipped with worm, dropped along the edges, is hard to beat. Sort the permit out before you load the car. Where the way in crosses private ground, ask first. Petit lac Chimere, 1.4 km away, makes the obvious fallback. None of that is settled for Lac Dalesme in what we hold.
