Rain on and off through the day, with mild air moving in from the SSW with a settled glass. Whatever swims in Lac Creux should be near inflow corners and shaded margins. Everything points to the morning. Trust the forecast and stay out through the window. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.

Lac Creux is set in Laurentides, Quebec. Around the bank it is pine and birch. Around 22 hectares of surface means several distinct areas to work. There is roughly 2.4 km of shoreline here, which is a short walk end to end. The closest town, Saint-Donat-de-Montcalm, is 13 km away. Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts lies 17 km off, Val-David another 18 km. A county boundary sits nearby, which can matter for local access rules.
Depth figures are not published for this one. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Survey and observation records for Laurentides include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass and yellow perch. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. Lac Creux fishes better once you know its edges.
July runs about 18°C on average, January about -14°C. Four clear seasons, with a proper winter at one end. Ice is part of the season here, ending near late April. The season between ice runs from about late April to late November. From the thaw to midsummer the fishing improves week by week. Keep it in mind when planning a trip to Lac Creux.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. No dam controls it, and the level follows the season. Public mapping records no formal access here, so plan for a walk and soft ground. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Read any posted signs at the access point rather than assuming. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. If the gate is shut, Lac Dufresne at 1.1 km is the nearest alternative. None of that is settled for Lac Creux in what we hold.
