Overcast skies today, with a light chop building from the SSW with the barometer flat. The fish at Lac Citadelle are likely to sit near shallow cover and weed edges. A stay-home graph, with the middle of the day as the one excuse to go. Downsize everything and pick the calmest water.

Lac Citadelle is one of the Côte-Nord waters in Quebec. The bank gives way to northern bush. About 1.07 sq km, so local knowledge or a boat saves a lot of walking. The shoreline runs about 16 km, so it pays to pick a stretch and stay with it. For supplies, Godefroy is 112 km out. Port-Cartier is 115 km and Saint-Alexandre 116 km. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
Depth remains unrecorded, so treat the first session as a survey. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Public occurrence data for Côte-Nord names logperch. It is the county picture; the agency list is water-specific. On Lac Citadelle the quiet end is the one worth the extra effort.
July is the warm end of the year here, averaging about 14°C, while January sits near -20°C. The fishing year opens late and shuts early. Firm cover through the cold months, then open water from mid May. Climate averages put the opening at about mid May and the closing near early November. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. Plan around that when you fish Lac Citadelle.
Our records carry no access rule either way. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. There is no recorded infrastructure here; expect to find your own way in. For the perch, a small jig tipped with worm, dropped along the edges, is hard to beat. Some banks are open only from a marked point. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. Failing this one, try Lac Brooch, 6.7 km away. Confirm before you fish Lac Citadelle.
