A clear night sky over the water, with the surface near flat with the glass holding level. The fish at Lac Campredon are likely to sit near sheltered bays and points. Little to get excited about, though the middle of the day holds a sliver of promise. Downsize everything and pick the calmest water.

In Quebec, Lac Campredon belongs to Abitibi-Témiscamingue. The water sits 288 metres up. The water covers some 21 hectares, so pick a bank rather than trying to cover it all. About 1.9 km of bank, so nothing stays unexplored for long. Head to Rouyn-Noranda, 23 km away, for anything you forgot. Further out sit Macamic (52 km) and La Sarre (54 km). Rules here are straightforward: one set of provincial rules.
Depth went unrecorded, which puts the reading back on you. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Abitibi-Témiscamingue records list northern pike, yellow perch and walleye among the fish reported. County records show the wider picture rather than this one place. Anyone new to Lac Campredon should walk it once before setting up.
Seasonal averages run from -17°C in January up to 17°C in July. A full turn of seasons, with the strongest sport on either side of summer. Once it clears, about early May, the fishing comes on quickly. Going by climate averages, expect open water from about early May until roughly mid November. The first weeks of open water and the last are the ones to plan for. Keep it in mind when planning a trip to Lac Campredon.
No access rule appears in what we hold. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. Access is unmapped, which usually means a farm track and a walk. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Where access is informal, keep it that way by behaving. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. If the gate is shut, Lac Lassus at 1.2 km is the nearest alternative. Nothing on Lac Campredon should be assumed from this page alone.
