Overcast skies today, with an easy breeze from the SSW and pressure sitting still. The productive water at Lac Cameron will be around the seam between weed and open water. A slow day overall; the night is the best of a quiet lot. Scale down and fish slowly. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

Within Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Quebec, you have Lac Cameron. The water sits 514 metres up. About 2 hectares of surface, which puts the far bank inside easy sight. It is a small entry by Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine standards. Supplies mean a trip to Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, 64 km off. The big place round here is Saguenay, 408 km distant. No county line comes close, which keeps the paperwork simple.
There is no recorded depth, so work from what you can see. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Reported across Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine: American eel, striped bass, alewife, rainbow smelt and brook trout. At least one recorded species is protected in parts of its range; read the local rules before targeting anything. Work Lac Cameron in sections rather than trying to cover it.
Climate records put July near 16°C and January near -14°C. A hard winter is normal, and the thaw brings a strong few weeks. Winter locks it down, and early May brings it back. Ice usually gives way near early May, and forms again about mid November. September and October fish steadily right up to the freeze. Anyone fishing Lac Cameron regularly works to that calendar.
Nothing we hold confirms whether access is permitted. Mapping shows no built access close by; expect to walk in from wherever you can leave the car. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Check whether a boat is allowed before you tow one. Where tickets apply, they are sold in the nearest town rather than on the bank. Lac Bouchard at 1.9 km is the sensible second choice. Confirm access to Lac Cameron locally before you travel.
