Rain on and off through the day, with a consistent blow out of the SSW with the barometer flat. The productive water at Lac Brule will be around inflow corners and shaded margins. The night carries the best of the day. Fish tidy and take what the day gives. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Set in Laurentides, Lac Brule is a Quebec water. Elevation runs to 362 metres. It measures some 1.36 sq km, and wind has room to build across it. The margin runs to about 18 km in total. It ranks high for size among our Laurentides listings. For supplies, Manawan is 50 km out. Then Ferme-Neuve, 50 km, and Mont-Laurier, 65 km. Within a short drive: Lac Fred 1.9 km, Lac Zephir (2.7 km), Lac du Papillon 2.7 km, Lac du Lezard (3.1 km) and Lac Windago 3.6 km. This one is safely inside the county line.
Depth remains unrecorded, so treat the first session as a survey. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Records held for Laurentides cover pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and brook trout. Records at county level tell you what is around, not what is stocked here. Read Lac Brule before you fish it and the day goes better.
The seasonal spread runs -16°C to 17°C. The year splits cleanly: hard water, then open water. Ice fishing carries the winter, and the water opens about late April. Average temperatures cross freezing around late April in spring and again near mid November in autumn. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. At Lac Brule the season follows that pattern closely.
Nothing in our records says who may fish here. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. Public mapping records no formal access here, so plan for a walk and soft ground. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Rules for this water may differ from the county norm. Where the way in crosses private ground, ask first. Should this one be busy, Lac Fred is 1.9 km off. Nothing here settles the position at Lac Brule for certain.
