Heavy overcast holding through the day, with barely a breath of wind and pressure going nowhere. Whatever swims in Lac Bleu should be near any hard bottom among the soft. Plan around the stretch from morning through afternoon. Change depth before you change anything else. The season of moving fish: stay mobile and watch for bait.

Look for Lac Bleu in the Laurentides part of Quebec. The setting is lake country bush. With some 23 hectares of water, there is room for a boat but no need of one. The full circuit measures close to 2.8 km on foot. It lies lower than most water we list in Quebec. Nearest town is Lac-Connelly, 1.7 km off. Beyond it, Saint-Hippolyte at 5.8 km and Terrasse-des-Pins at 6.8 km. Local rules may differ a few miles either side of here.
No chart reached our records; the first cast is your sounding. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Across Laurentides, recorded fish include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass and yellow perch. County records show the wider picture rather than this one place. At Lac Bleu the water rewards a slow, careful approach.
The year swings from about -12°C in January to roughly 19°C in July. Cold winters and warm summers give a wide working range. Winter locks it down, and late April brings it back. The water is typically free of ice between late April and early December. The strongest runs come at either end of the open season. Expect Lac Bleu to follow that timing.
Whether the bank is open is not something our records settle. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. There is somewhere to leave the car, 480 m off. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Check locally before you travel, because a wasted drive is a long one. Signs go up and come down, so check on the day. The nearest alternative is Lac a l'Anguille, 0.7 km out. Signs at Lac Bleu carry more weight than any list.
