An even grey lid over the water, with a light chop building from the SSW with a settled glass. Most of the action on Lac Bart should come off the weed line and any gaps in it. Little to get excited about, though the middle of the day holds a sliver of promise. Downsize everything and pick the calmest water.

In Quebec, Lac Bart belongs to Laurentides. It stands 376 metres above sea level. The water measures roughly 10 hectares, so nothing here is far from anything else. The whole outline is near 2.3 km, and most of it is walkable. Supplies mean a trip to Ferme-Neuve, 89 km off. The big place round here is Gatineau, 216 km distant. It sits well inside the county, so one set of rules covers it.
Nothing we hold settles how deep this runs. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Laurentides records list pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, brook trout and rock bass among the fish reported. These are county-wide records, so not all of them will be in this water. Read Lac Bart before you fish it and the day goes better.
July is the warm end of the year here, averaging about 17°C, while January sits near -17°C. This is a two-season water: locked, then wide open. The lid arrives early and lasts until roughly early May. From about early May to around mid November, expect open water on the long-run figures. Spring is short and heavy here; autumn is longer and steadier. Expect Lac Bart to follow that timing.
Nothing on record says whether the bank is open or closed. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. Public mapping records no formal access here, so plan for a walk and soft ground. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Take the rules with you rather than trusting memory. Where parking is tight, arriving early solves most problems. Lac Shark at 1.1 km is the sensible second choice. For Lac Bart in particular, ask before you travel.
