Dull, settled light over the water, with an easy breeze from the SSW and no real change in pressure. Most of the action on Lac Aubrespy should come off the weed line and any gaps in it. A stay-home graph, with the middle of the day as the one excuse to go. Downsize everything and pick the calmest water.

Côte-Nord, Quebec, is where Lac Aubrespy sits. The setting is spruce and muskeg. The water measures roughly 10 hectares, so nothing here is far from anything else. Roughly 1.5 km of bank means you can walk to a fresh area when one goes quiet. It is high ground by Quebec standards. Port-Cartier is the closest town at 60 km. It is 315 km to Saguenay, the nearest city. This one is safely inside the county line.
Our records hold no depth for this water. Weed, then depth: that is the order to fish a water of this kind. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Records held for Côte-Nord cover logperch. What holds for the county may not hold for this water. On Lac Aubrespy the obvious spot is not always the productive one.
On the long-term average, July reads 14°C and January reads -19°C. This is a two-season water: locked, then wide open. After mid May the shallows warm and the fish move up. Average temperatures cross freezing around mid May in spring and again near early November in autumn. The open run goes from the thaw to the freeze, and April through October covers most of it. Plan around that when you fish Lac Aubrespy.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. No dam controls it, and the level follows the season. Mapping shows no built access close by; expect to walk in from wherever you can leave the car. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Sort the permit out before you load the car. Rules for boats are stricter than rules for the bank in many places. Should this one be busy, Lac a la Mousse Rouge is 2.5 km off. Check the position at Lac Aubrespy before loading the car.
