A rainy spell sitting over the area, with stillness over the whole water with a settled glass. The water to cover at Lac Annette is any hard bottom among the soft. The best of it runs night into morning. Push the good hours hard and rest through the dead ones. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

Lac Annette sits within Mauricie in Quebec. It sits at 362 metres above sea level. The water measures roughly 5 hectares, so nothing here is far from anything else. The closest town, La Tuque, is 54 km distant. For a city, Trois-Rivières is 91 km off. Also worth knowing: Lac Therese lies 2.1 km on, Lac Emile roughly 2.1 km, Lac Francoise lies 2.5 km on, Lac Lise roughly 2.6 km and Lac de la Loutre lies 3.1 km on. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
Without a survey to go on, judge depth from how the bank falls away. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Open biodiversity records for Mauricie list northern pike, brook trout, walleye, yellow perch and white sucker. County records show the wider picture rather than this one place. Read Lac Annette for ten minutes before the first cast goes out.
Climate records put July near 17°C and January near -15°C. Cold locks it up for a good stretch each year. Break-up comes around late April, and the run that follows is short and strong. The open-water window runs from around late April to about late November in an average year. Fishing peaks soon after break-up and again before the cold returns. Lac Annette fishes to that pattern most years.
Nothing in our records says who may fish here. Mapping records no facilities at all near this water. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Sort the permit out before you load the car. Barbless rules turn up on managed water more often than not. Lac Therese, 2.1 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Check the current arrangement for Lac Annette.
