Wet weather working through today, with mild air moving in from the S with the barometer flat. The productive water at Lac Alexandre will be around bays that hold the day's warmth. The numbers single out the night. Work fewer spots, but work them properly. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

Night
In Quebec, Lac Alexandre belongs to Laurentides. The bank is 253 metres above sea level. Roughly 11 hectares: a morning covers one end, an afternoon the other. There is roughly 1.4 km of shoreline here, which is a short walk end to end. You are 15 km from Rivière-Rouge. Orléans sits 122 km out, and it is the nearest city worth the name. No border sits close enough to matter.
No published figure covers depth, so learn it as you fish. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Across Laurentides, recorded fish include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, brook trout and rock bass. These are county-wide records, so not all of them will be in this water. Take Lac Alexandre a stretch at a time.
Expect July near 18°C and January near -15°C on the long-run figures. Hard water is a season in its own right here. Count the season from break-up, usually late April. Expect the water usable from around late April until roughly late November. Spring is short and heavy here; autumn is longer and steadier. Plan around that when you fish Lac Alexandre.
Nothing on record says whether the bank is open or closed. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. We find no slipway, car park or made path within a short radius, so treat access as rough. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Look for a notice board at the entrance. Rules for boats are stricter than rules for the bank in many places. Lac Hibou, 1.2 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Rules at Lac Alexandre are worth checking on the day.
