An even grey lid over the water, with a steady SSW wind and pressure going nowhere. Expect most activity at Lac Aime around points where shallow meets deep. Save your energy for the night. Work the productive water thoroughly. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.

Lac Aime sits within Mauricie in Quebec. Country round the bank runs to spruce and muskeg. Leblanc sits 70 km from here and is the nearest stop. Further out sit Weymontachie (108 km) and Manawan (108 km). Other water nearby: Lac Marsh about 1.1 km, Lac Anna roughly 1.5 km, Lac Roosevelt about 1.7 km, Lac Edmond roughly 1.8 km and Lac Serge about 1.9 km. The nearest edge is a long way off, so local rules apply throughout.
Nothing we hold settles how deep this runs. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Open biodiversity records for Mauricie list northern pike, brook trout, walleye, yellow perch and white sucker. Take it as the county picture rather than a promise for this water. Fish Lac Aime where the bottom changes rather than where it looks deep.
Long-term averages put July at about 16°C and January near -17°C. The window is narrow, and fish feed hard while it lasts. Break-up comes around early May, and the run that follows is short and strong. On average, early May opens the water and mid November closes it again. Fish feed hardest at the start and the close of the open season. Plan any trip to Lac Aime around it.
Our records carry no access rule either way. No made access appears within a short radius, so plan to park on a verge and walk. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Check whether a boat is allowed before you tow one. Access can change hands, so last year's answer may not hold. Failing this one, try Lac Marsh, 1.1 km away. Confirm before you fish Lac Aime.
