Soft grey light all day today, with a light chop building from the S with the glass holding level. The productive water at Lac Aime will be around shallow cover and weed edges. Set the alarm around the night. Work the productive water thoroughly. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

In Quebec, Lac Aime falls inside Outaouais. Height above sea level is 189 metres. At about 12 hectares, a day is enough to walk the shoreline properly. There is roughly 2.1 km of shoreline here, which is a short walk end to end. It lies lower than most water we list in Quebec. Saint-Raphaël at 29 km is the nearest place to stop. Beyond it, Wakefield at 40 km and Maniwaki at 41 km. One jurisdiction covers this water end to end.
The records we hold are silent on depth, so plan to find it yourself. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Open biodiversity records for Outaouais list pumpkinseed, yellow perch and smallmouth bass. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. On Lac Aime the first feature you find is usually worth a session.
The warm month here averages 19°C; the cold one sits at -13°C. Winter shuts the surface down for months. The freeze runs deep into the year, with break-up near late April. Expect the water usable from around late April until roughly early December. Reckon on open water from spring through to late autumn, with May and June the strongest. Anyone fishing Lac Aime regularly works to that calendar.
We hold no note on access for this one. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. A campsite is mapped about 1.3 km away, which makes an early start easier. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Local rules can differ across the county line, so check where you stand. Signs go up and come down, so check on the day. Lac Stick, 1.2 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Check the current arrangement for Lac Aime.
