Cloud from horizon to horizon today, with almost no wind to speak of with a settled glass. Fish at Lac Aede should hold close to windblown banks where food collects. A stay-home graph, with the middle of the day as the one excuse to go. Downsize everything and pick the calmest water.

In Quebec, Lac Aede belongs to Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Beyond the shoreline you have taiga. The nearest place of any size is Val-d'Or, 54 km away. Gatineau is the closest city, 282 km away. Within a short drive: Lac de la Vermine near enough 1.2 km, Lac Penlan about 2 km, Lac Flamant near enough 2 km, Lac Bisson about 2.2 km and Lac Redowa near enough 2.4 km. It sits well inside the county, so one set of rules covers it.
Depth is not on record here, so the bank has to tell you. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Across Abitibi-Témiscamingue, recorded fish include northern pike, yellow perch and walleye. Species recorded across the county may be limited to a few waters. Fish Lac Aede where the bottom changes rather than where it looks deep.
Average temperature peaks around 17°C in July and bottoms out near -16°C in January. The ice season is long here and the open one short. Firm cover through the cold months, then open water from early May. Ice clears near early May and comes back about mid November in a typical year. The strong weeks are the first after break-up and the last before the freeze. That is the shape of the year on Lac Aede.
Whether the bank is open is not something our records settle. Nothing is listed nearby for parking or launching a boat. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Provincial rules still apply whatever the bank status. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Should this one be busy, Lac de la Vermine is 1.2 km off. None of that is settled for Lac Aede in what we hold.
