Low, flat cloud sitting over the water, with a kind SSW breeze on the water with a settled glass. The productive water at Lac a Leduc will be around any hard bottom among the soft. The strongest window is the night. Take the steady approach over the searching one. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

The Capitale-Nationale entry here is Lac a Leduc, in Quebec. Country round the bank runs to mixed forest. It is low-lying compared with other Quebec water we list. Saint-Ubalde lies 6.9 km from the water. Beyond it, Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade at 15 km and Sainte-Geneviève-de-Batiscan at 19 km. The boundary is close enough to be worth checking before you fish.
No depth figure appears in our records, so the bank has to tell you. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. Fish documented in Capitale-Nationale include lake sturgeon, Atlantic sturgeon, longnose sucker and sauger. At least one recorded species is protected in parts of its range; read the local rules before targeting anything. At Lac a Leduc the first feature you find is worth twenty minutes.
The seasonal spread runs -14°C to 19°C. Winter shuts the surface down for months. Ice-out usually falls in late April, and the weeks after it fish hardest. Ice clears near late April and comes back about late November in a typical year. The strongest runs come at either end of the open season. The season on Lac a Leduc rarely departs from it.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. We find no slipway, car park or made path within a short radius, so treat access as rough. Walleye come to jigs worked slow near bottom, and to trolled crankbaits along the drops at dusk. Check locally before you travel, because a wasted drive is a long one. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. Failing this one, try Petit lac Rond, 1.7 km away. What applies at Lac a Leduc may have changed since it was mapped.
