Uneven cloud over the water after dark, with just enough NW wind to ripple the surface with the barometer flat. Fish at Tedder Lake should hold close to the margins and the shelf beyond them. The day runs flat but workable from start to finish. Take the steady approach over the searching one.

The Algoma entry here is Tedder Lake, in Ontario. It sits at 455 metres above sea level. With some 77 hectares of water, there is room for a boat but no need of one. The shoreline runs about 6.5 km, so it pays to pick a stretch and stay with it. By elevation it is in the upper part of our Ontario listings. The town to know is Hornepayne, 64 km out. Thunder Bay sits 307 km out, and it is the nearest city worth the name. No border sits close enough to matter.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Open biodiversity records for Algoma list walleye, northern pike, Iowa darter, yellow perch and white sucker. It is the county picture; the agency list is water-specific. Fish Tedder Lake to its features, not to its size.
July runs about 16°C on average, January about -18°C. Little of the calendar is open water, so timing counts for everything. Expect a solid lid for months and a thaw around early May. Ice usually gives way near early May, and forms again about mid November. June through September is the settled part of the year, with the shoulders busier for fish. Tedder Lake runs to that rhythm year in and year out.
No public source sets out the position on this bank. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. Public mapping records no formal access here, so plan for a walk and soft ground. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Check whether a boat is allowed before you tow one. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. For a change of water, Tent Lake is 3.2 km distant. None of that is settled for Tedder Lake in what we hold.
