No direct sun expected today, with a useful WSW wind pushing food about and no real change in pressure. On Tea Lake, work the seam between weed and open water first. Expectations low today; if anything moves, it will be in the morning. Fish the best hour hard and keep the rest short. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

Tea Lake is one of the Nipissing District listings for Ontario. It sits in rolling bush country. Surface area is around 11 hectares, which gives you real water without needing a boat. There is roughly 2.5 km of shoreline here, which is a short walk end to end. Nearest town is Callander, 25 km off. Powassan lies 27 km off, Mattawa another 32 km. It lies deep inside the county rather than near an edge.
Nothing we hold settles how deep this runs. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Reported across Nipissing District: smallmouth bass, cisco and yellow perch. The list covers the county rather than this water alone, so treat it as a guide. On Tea Lake the obvious spot is not always the productive one.
Typical July readings run about 18°C; by January the average is down near -13°C. The year splits cleanly: hard water, then open water. Count on hard cover from midwinter, and open water from late April. Expect the water usable from around late April until roughly late November. From the thaw to midsummer the fishing improves week by week. Anyone fishing Tea Lake regularly works to that calendar.
The access position is unclear from public sources. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. There is no mapped parking or launch nearby, which keeps numbers down. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Some banks are open only from a marked point. A polite question at the farm gate opens more banks than anything else. Loon Lake at 0.5 km is the sensible second choice. Confirm access to Tea Lake locally before you travel.
