No cloud to trap the day's warmth tonight, with a decent SSW wind working the banks and no real change in pressure. Start the search at Mooseridge Lake along inflow corners and shaded margins. The numbers single out the night. Cover water early, then settle where the signs are. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Between January at about -17°C and July at about 17°C, the water has a wide range to work through. Open water is the exception rather than the rule here. Hard cover is dependable here; it goes around early May. Average temperatures cross freezing around early May in spring and again near mid November in autumn. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. That shapes the year on Mooseridge Lake.

Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Parking is often the real limit rather than the bank itself. Keep proof of licence with you rather than in the car. Gale Lake at 1.3 km is the sensible second choice. For Mooseridge Lake, the notice at the access point is the final word.
