Heavy overcast holding through the day, with calm air over the water and pressure going nowhere. Expect most activity at Logie Bay around seams where the tide bends around structure. The forecast is against you; the night is the least bad option. One good spot fished well beats five fished quickly.

Logie Bay is one of the Kenora District listings for Ontario. The country round it is boreal forest from end to end. Greenstone lies 179 km from the water. It is 328 km to Thunder Bay, the nearest city. Others within reach: Peninsular Lake out at 6 km, Studd Lake at about 11 km, Skarott Lake out at 16 km, Muskrat Lake at about 16 km and Felsia Lake out at 17 km. It sits well inside the county, so one set of rules covers it.
No depth figure appears in our records, so the bank has to tell you. Reed and marsh margins hold fish through the moving hours. The mouth fishes hardest when the run is at its strongest. Species logged across Kenora District include northern pike, longnose sucker, white sucker, johnny darter and logperch. The county list is broader than any single water. At Logie Bay the water rewards a slow, careful approach.
Temperature averages peak at 16°C in July and bottom out at -21°C in January. Open water arrives late and leaves early, which concentrates the fishing. Hard cover is dependable here; it goes around early May. Going by climate averages, expect open water from about early May until roughly early November. Early summer and early autumn carry the open-water season. Keep it in mind when planning a trip to Logie Bay.
The rules here are undocumented as far as public sources go. Formal access is not mapped, so the last stretch is likely on foot. A wire trace and a big bright lure handle the pike; deep water asks for a heavier spoon. Where access is informal, keep it that way by behaving. Some ground is open by custom rather than by right, so tread carefully. Peninsular Lake, 6 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Rules at Logie Bay are worth checking on the day.
