A clear night sky over the water, with a light chop building from the SSW and steady pressure. The water to cover at Little Laundrie Lake is any hard bottom among the soft. Save your energy for the night. Change depth before you change anything else. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Little Laundrie Lake is a Sudbury water, in Ontario. It stands 383 metres above sea level. With some 49 hectares of water, there is room for a boat but no need of one. With 7.3 km or so of shoreline, boat anglers cover ground the bank cannot. Capreol at 47 km is the nearest place to stop. Further out sit Valley East (55 km) and Rayside-Balfour (64 km). No county line comes close, which keeps the paperwork simple.
Depth figures are not published for this one. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Public occurrence data for Sudbury names smallmouth bass, northern pike, yellow perch and Iowa darter. Records at county level tell you what is around, not what is stocked here. Little Laundrie Lake responds to conditions more than to tactics.
Climate records put July near 18°C and January near -16°C. Fishing here follows the temperature more than the calendar. Hard water holds through the cold months, breaking up near late April. In an average year the thaw lands around late April and the freeze near late November. Look to early summer and the first cool weeks of autumn. Little Laundrie Lake runs to that rhythm year in and year out.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. No dam controls it, and the level follows the season. There is no recorded infrastructure here; expect to find your own way in. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Bank access can be seasonal on ground like this. Where tickets apply, they are sold in the nearest town rather than on the bank. The nearest alternative is Big Marconi Lake, 2.7 km out. Nothing here settles the position at Little Laundrie Lake for certain.
