Patchy cloud over the water after dark, with a persistent wind from the WSW and the barometer holding steady. The productive water at Lita Lake will be around the shallows early and the drop later. A tough forecast; the evening offers the only real chance. Save the long walk for a better forecast.

Lita Lake lies in Sudbury, in Ontario. The bank gives way to boreal forest. This is a pocket water of some 4 hectares, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. On size it sits at the modest end of our Sudbury list. Chapleau sits 67 km from here and is the nearest stop. Further out sit Timmins (103 km) and Smooth Rock Falls (157 km). One jurisdiction covers this water end to end.
Depth figures are not published for this one. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Sudbury records list smallmouth bass, northern pike, yellow perch and Iowa darter among the fish reported. Species recorded across the county may be limited to a few waters. Work Lita Lake in sections rather than trying to cover it.
Expect July near 17°C and January near -17°C on the long-run figures. Winter runs most of the calendar, and everything worth doing happens in the gap. Look for the thaw near early May; the fishing lifts straight after. Ice clears near early May and comes back about mid November in a typical year. Fish feed hardest at the start and the close of the open season. Lita Lake fishes to that pattern most years.
Access is not recorded for this water. No car park, ramp or path is recorded within easy reach of the shore. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Local rules can differ across the county line, so check where you stand. Night access is frequently treated as a separate matter. For a change of water, Whigham Lake is 1 km distant. None of that is settled for Lita Lake in what we hold.
