An even grey lid over the water, with just enough SE wind to ripple the surface with the barometer flat. Expect most activity at Gordon Lake around windblown banks where food collects. Plan around the stretch from afternoon into evening. Keep moving until you find them. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.
