Low, flat cloud sitting over the water, with a busy SSW wind on the open water with the glass holding level. Fish at Angler Lake should hold close to reed fringes and open pockets. Save your energy for the night. Work the productive water thoroughly. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

You will find Angler Lake in Timiskaming District, Ontario. This is lake country bush country. About 1.51 sq km, so local knowledge or a boat saves a lot of walking. At about 18 km of edge, most people work one arm at a time. Size puts it in the front rank of our Timiskaming District list. The nearest place of any size is Temiskaming Shores, 34 km away. Then Haileybury, 37 km, and Ville-Marie, 52 km. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
The records we hold are silent on depth, so plan to find it yourself. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Timiskaming District records list brook trout, northern pike, yellow perch, Iowa darter and walleye among the fish reported. Read it as a county summary, not a water-by-water list. Angler Lake gives up more to patience than to distance.
July is the warm end of the year here, averaging about 18°C, while January sits near -16°C. The middle months are generous; the ends are demanding. The lid arrives early and lasts until roughly late April. Averages place the thaw at late April and the freeze at late November. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. Expect Angler Lake to follow that timing.
Our records carry no access rule either way. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. Formal access is not mapped, so the last stretch is likely on foot. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Where a permit is needed, the nearest town usually sells it. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Goodfish Lake sits 2.7 km off and takes the overflow. Check the current arrangement for Angler Lake.
