Dull, settled light over the water, with a light chop building from the W and no real change in pressure. Activity on Adze Lake should centre on the seam between weed and open water. A stay-home graph, with the night as the one excuse to go. Save the long walk for a better forecast.

The Thunder Bay District end of Ontario holds Adze Lake. It sits at 341 metres above sea level. It measures about 16 hectares, which is a comfortable size for bank fishing. A shoreline of some 3.2 km keeps the choices simple. Our Thunder Bay District list holds plenty of bigger water. For supplies, Manitouwadge is 20 km out. After that come Hornepayne at 73 km and Longlac at 77 km. This one is safely inside the county line.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. County-wide records name cisco, blackfin cisco, rainbow smelt and bloater. These are county-wide records, so not all of them will be in this water. Treat Adze Lake as a water to read rather than to cover.
Expect July near 16°C and January near -18°C on the long-run figures. Long winters and short summers set the pattern. Ice-out usually falls in early May, and the weeks after it fish hardest. Expect the water usable from around early May until roughly mid November. September and October fish steadily right up to the freeze. It holds true on Adze Lake more years than not.
Access status is simply unknown for this water. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. Access is unmapped, which usually means a farm track and a walk. A light spinning outfit with a small box of lures and some bait covers most of what swims here. Rules differ from one water to the next round here. Barbless rules turn up on managed water more often than not. Otter Lake at 1.1 km is the sensible second choice. Confirm before you fish Adze Lake.
