Long Lake Fishing near Calais, New Brunswick

  The Charlotte County end of New Brunswick holds Long Lake. This is pine and birch ground. The water covers some 18 hectares, so pick a bank rather than trying to cover it all. About 2.3 km of bank, so nothing stays unexplored for long. Supplies mean a trip to Calais, 14 km off. St. Stephen is 16 km and Saint Andrews 17 km. The boundary is close enough to be worth checking before you fish.

Species logged across Charlotte County include Atlantic salmon, alewife, rainbow smelt, American eel and smallmouth bass.
